Leaving Hawaii

Well the first leg of our trip is coming to an end. Today is a packing day and we will need to figure out how to get all our stuff compressed and back into the backpacks we brought. We are somewhat evenly spread out between the two condos. Tonight we fly out of Honolulu around 11:00 pm on Air New Zealand and we will head first to Auckland New Zealand and then transfer planes to Brisbane Australia. We only have a couple hour layovers in Auckland. The flight from Honolulu to Auckland is 9.5 hours long but we cross the International Date Line and lose an entire day. The flight from Auckland to Brisbane is about 3.5 hours long. Hopefully we don’t feel the jet lag too badly. Kind of a weird concept , losing a day. We will arrive in Brisbane at around 1pm on September 6th.
We are leaving in style, I hired a Limo to take us to the airport and port our bags. Wish us luck and we will chat again from Australia. So far, so good, everyone is healthy, happy, safe and sound and we are on budget
