The kids had to do their orientation for St. Paul’s academy which walks them through the process of downloading and submitting assignments and writing exams online. Our computers are not configured properly and I wish I had paid more attention in Computer science classes. We will do our best but I have a feeling we are going to struggle throughout the year as we don’t have a reliable internet connection for which the curriculum is dependent. It could be one of those situations where we will be at internet cafes and making the best of it much to the dismay of the Alberta education gurus. In any event we have textbooks and we may have to do this “old school”.
The Kids found the original "Ghost Busters" car in the condo parking lot today. They thought that was pretty cool.
I spoke with Millard and Brad today as well as my mom and dad on Skype. Now that is great technology and the price is right. You will all be happy to know that the office is still there and running well. So far so good. No flights home booked yet. I am turning my mom into a technical wizard she has moved to a comfortable use of a digital phone to navigating Voice Over IP with the Internet.
